'IN THE FOREST' ... The 'Lost' suite for strings
Written by Adelina in 1949, The Suite for strings entitled 'In the Forest' has never been recorded before and has not been performed for over 70 years! It has been missing since Adelina's death in 1961.
On August 1st 2005, the Great Grandsons of Adelina, rock musicians Jayl and Jimmie Bone, commissioned The Gloucester Academy of Music to perform the piece to a selected audience and for a new recording, in the wonderful surroundings of Gloucester Cathedral.
'Jayl & Bone' will also be using elements and exerts from 'In the Forest' to create an exciting new concept album, blending classical, rock and dance with choral and lyrical content.

The Gloucester Academy of Music

The Gloucester Academy of Music, a unique community of musicians and performers of all ages and abilities from Gloucestershire and beyond, affiliated with the Trinity College of Music. Since it's inception in 1982, the academy has gained an enviable reputation as a breeding ground for young classical musicians and is brilliantly and skillfully directed by Glyn Oxley. The Academy is a non-profit organisation and is the only facility of its kind in the South West and the first junior conservatoire in the area. The leader of the recording ensemble is ex-Gloucester academy student Sophie Coles, who has just finished her first year at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
